About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions’ Onsite Division is seeking Medical Interpreters in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and surrounding areas. Interpreters work face-to-face in healthcare facilities on an as-needed, assignment-based basis as independent contractors. The role supports clear communication between healthcare providers and patients, helping ensure understanding, dignity, and quality care for individuals with limited English proficiency.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language, spoken and understood at a professional level.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
Nice To Haves
- Proven medical interpreting experience.
- Educational background in languages or interpretation.
