About The Position

This role is for an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career as a Medical Imaging Field Engineer. The position involves servicing Imaging Equipment in the Columbus, OH area. The Customer Service Engineer Level can be adjusted based on prior experience. It is a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains, and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites, making the engineer the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. Flexibility is required for different shifts and On-Call rotations as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Advanced notice will be provided for any shift changes. The position reports to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong electronics background and computer skills required.
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Windows & Microsoft Office 365 - Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
  • Ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
  • Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience with the desired Medical Imaging Equipment.
  • 1-3 years of field service experience is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing Imaging Equipment in the Columbus, OH area.
  • Installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites.
  • Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers.
  • Performing necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation after training and certification.
  • Providing service in assigned geography.
