About The Position

Shared Medical Services is seeking a part-time Medical Imaging Assistant to work on a state-of-the-art mobile scanner and serve patients at various facilities. The role supports the medical technologist and helps provide patient care on a mobile medical route. The anticipated schedule is 1–3 days per week, with a weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Must be willing to walk and stand for long periods.
• Must successfully pass a post-offer background check, urine drug screen, and physical.
• Must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy or IV experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the technologist in starting IVs.
• Help provide excellent patient care on a mobile medical route, including maintaining patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
• Assist with transporting patients between the medical facility and the mobile scanner.
• Help the Medical Technologist complete applicable forms and position patients on the scanner for examinations.
• Complete administrative tasks, such as time and activity reports and billing.
