About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Medical Director at Columbia Correctional Institution in Lake City, Florida. The position also provides direct patient care weekly at Columbia Annex and Baker Re-entry Center in Sanderson, Florida. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director, the Medical Director provides clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements, delivers direct clinical services to patients, and clinically supervises medical staff at the assigned site. The role collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure medical services are efficient and clinically appropriate, and participates in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Active and unrestricted MD/DO license, or ability to obtain one.
Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, or ability to obtain it.
Ability to pass credentialing and a background check.
