About The Position
First Capitol Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our small animal practice in St. Charles, Missouri. This is an outstanding opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, surgery, mentorship, and practice growth while continuing to maintain an active clinical caseload. As Medical Director, you'll partner with hospital leadership to foster a collaborative culture, mentor fellow veterinarians, uphold medical excellence, and help shape the future of a well-established practice. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
- Active (or eligible) Missouri veterinary license
- Strong surgical and medical skills with an interest in continuing to grow surgical services
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset
- Passion for progressive, evidence-based medicine and team development

- Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred

- Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff
