About The Position

Penn Medicine is seeking an experienced Medical Director of Maternal–Fetal Medicine to provide clinical and physician leadership for the Princeton MFM practice, supporting high-quality, patient-centered care at this location. This leadership role combines active clinical practice with medical oversight, quality leadership, and program development, working closely with health system leadership to advance excellence in maternal–fetal care delivery.

Requirements

  • M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D.
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Board Certified in Maternal–Fetal Medicine
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or program management experience strongly preferred
  • Eligibility for unrestricted Pennsylvania and New Jersey medical licensure, including DEA and NJ CDS
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania; DEA Licensure.
  • 0-1 year of work experience of related experience in a specified medical field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as an attending maternal–fetal medicine physician
  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource for MFM providers and referring clinicians
  • Support standardized, evidence-based care pathways across sites
  • Lead patient safety, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Penn Medicine clinical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with operational, nursing, and administrative leaders
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of MFM faculty
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing clinical team
  • Participate in academic and educational activities as desired
