About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join an established, referral-based practice at one of only two Level IV Perinatal Centers in Indiana. The role follows a 100% consultative, high-risk care model with no delivery requirements; delivery services are covered by a dedicated OB hospitalist team. The practice is based at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent, with access to a new 9-story, 268,000-square-foot Women's Hospital featuring 109 private NICU rooms designed to keep mothers and babies together.

The physician will provide high-acuity fetal medicine and use advanced diagnostic imaging, including GE Voluson E10 machines. The team includes on-site sonographers, fetal and maternal nurse navigators, genetic counselors, clinic RNs, nurse practitioners, and an established Fetal/Neonatal Palliative Care program. Clinical support staff also help manage prenatal care and the growing Diabetes in Pregnancy Clinic.

The role includes opportunities to teach and mentor OB and Family Medicine residents through case conferences and medical staff lectures, with optional statewide educational outreach. The practice combines private-practice operational efficiency with the academic support, research infrastructure, and transport network of a regional health system. Home-based call is every fourth week/weekend, with no in-house overnight coverage required.

The position is full-time and office-based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The location is not currently in an HPSA or MUA/P. Compensation and support include loan forgiveness, a commencement bonus, quality and production bonus potential, a fellowship stipend, CME allotment and dedicated time, malpractice coverage with tail, relocation assistance, and benefits.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure.
• Indiana Medical Licensing Board physician credentialing must be obtained before the hire or job transfer date.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative care for high-risk pregnancies and high-acuity fetal medicine cases; the role has no delivery requirements.
