About The Position

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director/Attending Physician to oversee comprehensive care for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The role involves providing leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff; maintaining high standards of patient care; and promoting collaboration and best practices. The physician will also provide direct patient care and contribute to the development of the medical team and clinical programs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors; carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet, or diagnostic equipment; bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams; navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces; and lifting or moving patients.

• Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development.
• Lead interviews and credentialing for prospective medical staff.
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee quarterly.
• Assist with Department of Health survey preparedness and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Lead implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Stay informed about advancements in geriatric and long-term care to evolve the facility’s clinical offerings.
• Provide direct patient care to residents.
