About The Position

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with healthcare organizations to transport medical supplies, specimens, and other materials. The Medical Delivery Driver, also described as a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver, safely transports lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company-owned vehicle. The position is based in Richmond, California, and offers a full-time Monday–Friday overnight shift from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., at $20.00–$20.75 per hour. Training is provided through MedSpeed’s Blue Shirt Certified program. Candidates who receive a conditional offer are subject to background checks in compliance with the California Fair Chance Act.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• At least 19 years of age and an active driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Excellent driving history.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, depending on location and local mandates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift items from storage racks.
• Comfort with walking and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport medical items and related materials.
• Load and unload the vehicle using appropriate equipment.
• Use a handheld scanning device to track items throughout the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
• Work cooperatively and adaptively with teammates and clients.
• Contribute to a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
