About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Medical Delivery Driver, also referred to as a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver, in Concord, California. The position starts from home each day and follows a fixed Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The listed pay is $19.61, plus $0.76 per mile in mileage reimbursement for driving your own vehicle. The driver transports medical and related materials, including laboratory specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, X-rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail. Drivers use a handheld scanning device to track items and are expected to follow operating procedures and service schedules, drive safely, maintain and inspect vehicles, load and unload items, and provide professional service to clients and the public. Route assignments and duties may vary based on client and business needs, and drivers must be able to perform duties across assigned routes. Requirements

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Be at least 19 years old and have held an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Familiarity with technology and ability to adapt to it.
Ability to follow procedures closely.
Ability to determine efficient routes between multiple points.
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screens.
Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Excellent driving history.
COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required depending on location and local mandates.
Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting items off storage racks.
Ability to handle varying item weights and physical demands, walk long distances, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Safely transport laboratory specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, X-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
Perform duties across assigned routes as needed; route assignments and duties may change based on client and business needs.
Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
