Delivery Driver - Full Time
About The Position
As a Delivery Driver for Omnicare Pharmacy, you will deliver prescription orders and/or products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule in a company-provided vehicle. You will help ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met while demonstrating ethical conduct and maintaining patient confidentiality. Using a customer-service mindset, you will manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to help the team fill patient prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately. This is a nighttime position starting at 18:30. Omnicare provides pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. The role supports delivery to long-term care facilities or patients’ homes. No professional driving experience is required. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Geographical knowledge of the service area.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
- Current, valid driver’s license in the state and at the level required to operate the vehicle.
- Ability to drive for long periods.
- Customer service orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver.
- Previous driving experience as a limo driver, taxi or bus driver, courier, or gig-economy worker.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medication, equipment, products, and/or supplies to long-term care facilities or patients’ homes accurately and on time.
- Load products and materials.
- Maintain the company vehicle and notify management of maintenance issues.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards.
- Follow applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment.
