Medical Data Entry Processor
About The Position
Injury Management Organization, Inc. is hiring a full-time Medical Data Entry Processor in Plano, Texas. The role supports the accuracy of workers' compensation claims by entering information from medical records and checking those records for completeness and accuracy. Candidates need knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-9/10 codes, along with strong ten-key-by-touch data-entry skills and communication abilities. Workers' compensation experience is preferred, and applicants must reside in the Dallas, Texas area. The position offers a hybrid schedule after 6–9 weeks of in-office training. The stated annual pay range is $40,000–$41,600. Following an accepted offer, the successful applicant must undergo a background check and drug screen.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in medical terminology.
- Knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-9/10 codes.
- Skill in examining medical records for completeness and accuracy.
- Ten-key data entry by touch.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must reside within the Dallas, Texas area.
- Successful applicant must undergo a background check and drug screen after accepting an offer.
Nice To Haves
- Workers' compensation experience is preferred.
- Some college is preferred.
