Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Background check (company-wide). Results will not be used automatically to disqualify individuals. Instead, the Company will conduct an individualized assessment that considers the duties of the position, the nature and timing of the offense, and any evidence of rehabilitation, in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Lift and carry office equipment at times around the office
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications; Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet

  • Bi-Lingual, preferred
  • AS400 experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answers telephone inquiries promptly and is responsible for intake of orders
  • Collects co-pays and coinsurances for services rendered
  • Determine the best method for providing service while evaluating reimbursement and cost impact to the company
  • Educates customers on product availability
  • Ensure compassionate and positive interactions with customers, caregivers, referral sources and payers
  • Make decisions based on customer need, vendor pricing and third party reimbursement possibilities
  • Open new customer computer accounts, enter and confirm work orders and monitor accounts for accuracy and completion
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action to ensure best service is provided
  • Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries (patients and referral sources), both in the store and on the phone, with regard to appropriateness, availability, and coverage guidelines of equipment/supplies
  • Suggests new or additional products or services relative to the customers diagnosis
  • Performs other duties as assigned
