About The Position

Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems — operating across various states and managing thousands of daily stops that keep healthcare running. This is a 1099 contracting opportunity for a Medical Courier. The route is from Atlantic City, NJ to Woodlyn, NJ, covering approximately 158 miles. The compensation includes a sign-on bonus of $150 upon successful completion of the first 30 days of active service. Contractors can choose instant cash out upon route completion or bi-weekly direct deposit. The role involves picking up labeled medical specimens and lab materials, loading them securely, and delivering them along the specified route using a driver app for navigation and confirmations. The app also provides real-time dispatch support throughout the route.

Requirements

• A personal vehicle in good working condition (leased/owned/rental).
• Valid driver's license and up-to-date registration.
• Active auto insurance in your name (or authorization letter from the registered owner).
• A smartphone (iOS 13+ or Android 11+ to run the driver app).
• Reliable data connection.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• A satisfactory driving record (MVR).
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Vehicle model year 2016 or newer preferred; older vehicles are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Prior experience in delivery, rideshare, or medical courier services (e.g., Amazon, FedEx, Uber Lyft) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the start location to pick up labeled medical specimens and lab materials.
• Load everything securely.
• Follow the route using the driver app, which handles navigation, stop confirmations, and real-time dispatch support.
• Confirm each delivery through the app.
• Complete the final delivery.
• Arrive on time for all routes.
• Conduct yourself professionally at all pickup and delivery locations.
• Inspect specimen count and packaging at every stop.
• Contact dispatch immediately if anything appears damaged, improperly packaged, or if any issues are encountered on the route.
