About The Position
Rapid Medical is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Courier (1099) for a specific route from Melrose to Gainesville. This tech-forward logistics partner manages thousands of daily stops to support labs, clinics, and health systems. The role involves using a driver app for navigation, scheduling, and support, handling specimens with care, and ensuring proper temperature control. Contractors will be responsible for photographing pickups/deliveries and logging proof of delivery. Immediate contact with dispatch is required for any issues with packages. This is an independent contractor position.
Requirements
- Personal vehicle (2016+ preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Active vehicle insurance
- Satisfactory driving record (MVR)
- Smartphone (iOS 13+/Android 11+) with reliable data
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- 21+ years old
- Satisfactory background check
- Satisfactory MVR review

Responsibilities
- Run stops using the driver app, which includes navigation, scheduling, and real-time support.
- Photograph pickups/deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
- Handle specimens carefully and maintain proper temperature (room, refrigerated, or frozen as required).
- Contact dispatch immediately if any packages appear damaged, improperly packaged, or incorrect.
