Medical Courier Part-Time (Weekend)
About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is hiring a part-time Medical Courier in Irving, Texas, to transport medical specimens and laboratory materials along a scheduled route. The courier helps ensure diagnostic materials reach patients and laboratories accurately, safely, and on time, and communicates professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff. The role operates a company-provided non-CDL vehicle and uses handheld scanners, route software, and mobile applications to track deliveries. It requires proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation, along with compliance with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM. The position offers hourly pay starting at $18.00, with possible shift differentials and annual performance bonus eligibility.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and at least three years of driving experience.
- Provide a Motor Vehicle Record showing no more than two moving violation convictions in the previous 36 months and none in the most recent 12 months.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and reliable documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road.
- Comfort using mobile devices or scanning tools.
- Ability to lift up to 40–45 pounds and remain on the move for much of the shift.
Nice To Haves
- Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred.
