About The Position
Rapid Medical is seeking dedicated independent contractors to provide medical delivery services on an assigned route from Palm Beach Gardens to Coral Springs, approximately 130 miles, with a 6:00 PM start, Monday through Friday. The role involves transporting medical samples, supplies, and reports while protecting specimen integrity and confidentiality and following safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Contractors use a smartphone app for real-time tracking and communicate with dispatch about route coordination and updates. Orientation on route procedures and compliance standards is provided. Applicants apply online, participate in a 15-minute phone interview, and provide documentation verifying their vehicle, insurance, license, and registration before engagement.
Requirements
- Prior experience in medical courier, package delivery, or ride-sharing services is highly valued.
- Strong time management skills.
- A reliable, compact-sized, fuel-efficient 4-cylinder vehicle from 2015 or newer.
- Residence within 15–20 miles of the service areas.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting state-required minimums.
- Clean DMV Motor Vehicle Record and ability to confirm prior work history.
- Smartphone with a reliable data plan and iOS or Android compatibility for the tracking app.
- Excellent customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 25 lbs.
- Comfort with extended periods of sitting while driving.
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally climb stairs.
