About The Position

REI seeks a Bike and Ski Shop Mechanic to create a better outdoor experience by sharing product knowledge, offering recommendations, and engaging with customers. The role is a vital part of the retail store Shop team and involves assembling REI equipment, performing shop services, providing customer service in the shop and on the sales floor, and servicing and repairing bikes and/or snow sports equipment to industry standards. The position may also include work in the rental department. The mechanic helps customers select and maintain equipment, promotes REI goods and services, and contributes to a clean, secure, and safe work environment. The role requires technical proficiency, quality workmanship, effective communication, organization, and the ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs. The position is based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The listed pay range is $16.84–$19.10 per hour.

Requirements

Demonstrated technical skills and proficiency.
Ability to complete required training and certifications.

Ability to transfer 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assess customer needs and assist with transactions.
