About The Position
The Medical Coding Adjunct Instructor teaches academic courses online, advises students, and assists faculty with program administration as needed. The position is part-time and located in Northern Maine, Presque Isle, Maine. Compensation is $73.23 per credit hour.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree with at least 8 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting.
- Hold a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential.
- Have current knowledge of and ability to navigate the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding systems.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
