Requirements
- High School diploma required with AA degree preferred
- 2-3 years of Medicare or DME experience (Required)
Nice To Haves
- TIM’s experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required
- Checking benefits and eligibility for DME coverage
- Preparing and reviewing claims using billing software
- Checking insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discounts
- Minimizing timely filing write offs
- Identifying and billing secondary insurances
- Researching and appealing denied claims
- Setting up patient payment plans and updating billing software with needed changes
- Guiding customers through their billing inquiries
- Providing world class customer experiences to internal and external customers
- Organizing and maintaining patient health information in both electronic and hard copies.
- Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness
