About The Position

Requirements

At least 3 years of dermatology billing/accounts receivable experience.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10, DRG, CPT, and modifiers.
Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems.
Ability to take ownership and work independently while also being a team player.
Clear and professional communication with providers, payers, and patients.

Responsibilities

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
Work rejected, denied, or underpaid claims by identifying root causes, correcting coding errors, appealing when appropriate, and preventing repeat issues.
Monitor aging reports, track outstanding balances, and reconcile accounts receivable.
Manage accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
Handle patient billing questions professionally.
Collaborate with providers to improve documentation accuracy.
Maintain organized, confidential billing records.
Track payer changes and stay current on coding updates.
