About The Position
The Medical Associate supports patient flow by preparing and supplying examination rooms for scheduled appointments, escorting patients, and initiating and tracking paperwork resulting from consultations and examinations. This role does not include direct patient care or care delivery activities, including taking vital signs. The position requires the ability to work variable shifts within the operating hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience required.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to and from examination and/or procedure areas.
- Review scheduled appointments to determine needed supplies.
- Obtain and set up supplies and equipment in advance.
- Initiate and track related paperwork, such as biopsy records, prescription call-ins and renewals, and orders for supplies and equipment.
- Sterilize all equipment.
- Perform related duties as required.
