About The Position
MainStreet Family Care is seeking an energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver patient care. The company provides urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The Medical Assistant assists with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge, and helps ensure optimal delivery of medical care. This PRN role requires scheduling flexibility and may include travel to other clinics as needed. The listed starting compensation is $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Flexibility with scheduling for PRN work.

Responsibilities
- Assist providers in the care of patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
- Triage patients promptly in accordance with clinic procedures.
- Record vital signs, weight, and updates to patients’ medical histories before visits.
- Perform lab tests according to clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
- Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and ready for appointments.
- Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Position patients for X-rays as directed by providers.
- Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.
