About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our functional medicine practice in Mesa, Arizona. This position is ideal for a Medical Assistant who is passionate about integrative and functional medicine, values patient-centered care, and enjoys working in a collaborative clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting providers, coordinating patient flow, and delivering an exceptional patient experience. We are looking for someone who is open and curious about each patient's story, a critical thinker who enjoys uncovering root causes, motivated by transforming patients' lives, comfortable working independently within a supportive environment, and interested in functional and holistic approaches alongside traditional medicine.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a functional medicine, integrative medicine, or primary care setting preferred
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Current BLS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist with clinical documentation and patient charting
- Support providers during examinations and procedures
- Assist with functional medicine workflows and patient care plans
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical areas
- Assist with scheduling, patient education, and follow-up communication
- Ensure accuracy in EMR documentation and clinical records
- Provide compassionate, professional patient service
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient office operations
