About The Position

Pinnacle Dermatology and Qualderm Partners is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to work as needed in Monroe, NC. The role supports providers in delivering patient care and keeping the practice running smoothly. The practice provides medical dermatology, skin cancer care, and cosmetic treatments, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience.

The Medical Assistant prepares patients for examinations, assists with procedures, performs basic laboratory tasks, maintains confidential patient records, coordinates scheduling and office communications, and provides patient education. The role also involves preparing and stocking procedure areas and keeping examination rooms clean and organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
• Organized, compassionate, attentive to detail, and committed to helping patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked.
