Medical Assistant - Tampa-Bilingual
About The Position
MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is compassionate, service-oriented, and can multitask with ease. The role involves direct patient care, including greeting and triaging patients, preparing examination and procedure rooms, obtaining histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. Administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures, managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results are also part of the role. The Medical Assistant will assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a calming presence for patients.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as an MA
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
- Computer proficient
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Responsibilities
