About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is part of a provider’s office team and works closely with the clinical team to deliver customer service and patient care. The role involves engaging with patients, performing clinical skills within the CMA’s scope of practice, and assisting with office management. The position is based at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital in Yakima, Washington, and is scheduled for 1.0 FTE, days, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C).
• Current BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a physician’s office or other medical facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe clinical skills within the CMA’s scope of practice, including clinical duties in the management of ambulatory patients.
• Work as an integral part of the team under the direction of a licensed health care practitioner.
• Use knowledge to integrate available standards, resources, and data.
• Assist with front office duties as needed, applying discretion, good judgment, and diplomacy to office and patient care management.
