About The Position

Cayuga Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Float Pool. The role supports physicians and providers in delivering exceptional patient care and requires strong people and communication skills. The Medical Assistant must be flexible and able to work at two different locations. This position is onsite at 401 Cayuga Park Ln., Ithaca, NY 14850, with a shift of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with flexibility. The standard pay range is $18.00–$22.00 per hour, plus benefits.

Requirements

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated clinical competency, including proficiency in aseptic techniques, sterilization, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling protocols.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic keyboard proficiency.
Flexibility to work in two different locations.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical duties and procedures within the scope of practice according to New York State laws and practice protocols, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
Record patients' vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and sterilize equipment and supplies according to protocols.
Assist physicians and providers with clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and patient calls according to practice protocols.
Prepare patient records for visits as directed by the physician or provider.
