About The Position

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife. The role is based at Adventist Health Medical Office Oakhurst, located at 48677 Victoria Lane, Oakhurst, California.

Requirements

• High school education, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
• Facility-specific Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent combination of licensure and experience.
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training, or a CHDP certificate within six months of hire.
• Phlebotomy certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
• Maintain a patient recall system, including a continuity-of-care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
• Perform venipunctures as ordered.
• Perform audiometry and vision testing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
