About The Position
This is a Medical Assistant role in an adult outpatient clinic specializing in Internal Medicine. The clinic requires a reliable CMA for this position. The role involves seeing approximately 5 visits per day across 2 rooms/beds. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts from 07:00 to 16:00, totaling 40 hours per week for a 13-week contract. High demand clinic days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and reliability is crucial, as call-offs are not permitted on these days. Tuesdays and Thursdays are lighter days. There are no call, float, or weekend requirements. The clinic uses Pyxis and EPIC systems. Candidates must bring their own stethoscope. 8 hours of clinic orientation will be provided. Scrubs are not provided; black scrubs are required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience
- Traveler Experience: Clinic
- Adult Outpatient Clinic Experience
- Internal Medicine Experience
- Vital Signs Experience (Height/Weight, Obtain Vital Signs, Pulse Oximetry & Vision testing)
- Procedure Assistance Experience (Pap Smear)
- Specimen Collection Experience (Throat, Urine - UA/Clean Catch & Venipuncture)
- Laboratory Tests Experience (Blood Glucose via Glucometer, Pregnancy, Strep & Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis)
- Office Duties Experience (Authorization Forms, Chart Preparation, Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests & Stocking Supplies)
- Professional Knowledge and Skills (Follow-up phone calls, Rooming Patients & Suture Removal)
- BLS Certification
- CMA OR RMA Certification
