About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and current BLS certification. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar-sized teaching hospital and possess strong IV-starting skills for applicable imaging modalities. Experience supporting radiology or CT operations is preferred. This position involves assisting with patient transport, managing clerical duties such as scheduling and exam processing, handling phone calls, maintaining department supplies, and utilizing hospital computer systems. The role also includes assisting with regulatory and hospital audit preparation, and requires strong communication and teamwork skills when collaborating with technologists, nurses, radiologists, and other staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant Medical Assistant experience
• Current BLS certification
• Experience working in a similar-sized teaching hospital/facility
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years (required and non-negotiable)
• Strong IV-starting skills for applicable imaging modalities
• Ability to manage workflow, answer phones, and maintain department supplies
• Experience using hospital/department computer systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting radiology or CT operations
• Reliable transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transportation access
