About The Position

This is a temporary to hire opportunity for a Medical Assistant in Seattle, WA. The clinic intends to hire permanently at the end of the contract if all goes well. The position is open to local and non-local candidates within Washington state. The role requires the candidate to float to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays. The candidate is expected to have reliable transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions. Patient diagnoses include general urology. Special equipment used includes Trophon, Ultrasound Bx machine, and Bladder Scanner.

Requirements

6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting is REQUIRED
Experience in a procedural heavy clinic – like Urology, Otolaryngology or Dermatology - is ideal
Must have reliable transportation (NOT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION)
No additional scheduling restrictions
All travel pairs will be required to have their own transportation
EPIC charting experience preferred

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is preferred
Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) will be considered if they have applicable experience in a procedural heavy clinic
Experience in Urology, Otolaryngology or Dermatology

Responsibilities

Obtain Vital Signs
Record History/Medications/Allergies
Set Up and Assist with Procedures (Cystoscopy, Prostate Biopsy, Bladder Scans (PVRS))
Set up and maintain sterile field
Labeling of specimens
Rooming Patients
