About The Position

IMS Care Center is seeking a professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable Medical Assistant for its Primary Care Clinic in Avondale. The Medical Assistant supports patients and their family members before, during, and after visits, working alongside doctors, nurses, and other clinical personnel to help the clinic run smoothly. The position includes assisting with patient care, office-based testing and treatments under clinician supervision, and coordination of related care and appointments. Requirements

At least 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, or passage of the Medical Assistant examination.

Nice To Haves

Athena EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Room patients.
Take vital signs and review patient history.
Prepare and clean the room and prepare the patient for the physician encounter.
Perform office-based testing and treatments related to patient care under the supervision of a clinician.
Coordinate and manage patient care, including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling patients for clinic, hospital, and other ancillary medical treatments and tests.
Resolve patient concerns promptly.
