About The Position

Low T Center powered by SynergenX is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join their Richardson wellness clinic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, and being part of a team that helps patients improve their health and reach their goals. Medical Assistants are crucial to the patient experience, handling tasks from patient reception and vital signs to blood draws and assisting providers, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly. The company provides two weeks of paid, hands-on training, and Medical Assistant certification is not required. The clinic specializes in men's health and wellness programs, including hormone replacement therapy, weight management, nutrition, lifestyle support, and preventative wellness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 6 months of Medical Assistant or related clinical experience
  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience using EMR systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and infection-control standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to jump in where needed
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting with minor procedures preferred
  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Taking and documenting manual vital signs
  • Performing routine blood draws
  • Administering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as directed by the provider
  • Preparing and processing laboratory specimens
  • Running in-house labs and preparing specimens for outside laboratories
  • Maintaining lab equipment, quality-control documentation, and accurate records
  • Assisting providers with minor procedures when needed
  • Monitoring weekly inventory and helping order clinical supplies
  • Keeping patient care areas clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Documenting patient information accurately in the EMR
  • Following HIPAA, infection-control, and sterilization procedures
  • Assisting the front desk and teammates when needed
  • Creating a positive, welcoming experience for every patient
