About The Position

The Medical Assistant (Non Reg) provides patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. The role performs select duties to promote health and care for patients according to practice protocols and procedures. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, day-shift position with BJC Medical Group in Farmington, Missouri. The position has no call, weekend, or holiday work and is benefit eligible.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.
• No supervisor experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, prepare, and stock supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and patient history, and maintain accurate and prompt charting in patient records.
• Perform clinical skills such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing, and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients, and present relevant information to providers using correct medical terminology.
• Assist providers by preparing patients for exams, procedures, and treatments.
