About The Position

BJC Medical Group is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for its outpatient Family Care practice at Christian Hospital in North St. Louis County, Saint Louis, Missouri. The Medical Assistant provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider, performs selected duties to promote health in patient care, and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures. The role is 40 hours per week on the day shift, with no call, weekends, or holidays. It is eligible for benefits and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Certification or registration in the area of expertise.
No experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Less than two years of experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

Clean, prepare, and stock supplies in exam rooms.
Obtain vital signs and patient history, and maintain accurate, prompt charting in patients' records.
Perform clinical skills including phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing, and injections.
Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients, and present relevant information to providers using correct medical terminology.
