About The Position

Esse Health is hiring Medical Assistants for full-time positions at outpatient clinical practices throughout the St. Louis area. The role performs back-office functions and supports providers during patient interviews, examinations, and treatment. Medical Assistants measure vital signs, document care in the NextGen electronic health record, and coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no nights or holidays. The stated pay range is $17.50–$21.00, based on experience. Eligible candidates may receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Project a positive office image when interacting with patients and coworkers, including greeting patients enthusiastically and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude.
• Prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively and work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

Nice To Haves

• Formal training, likely demonstrated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CPR certification.
• PC/Windows proficiency.
• Familiarity with medical coding.

Responsibilities

• Perform back-office functions.
