About The Position
Esse Health is hiring Medical Assistants for full-time positions in outpatient clinical practices at various office locations throughout the St. Louis area. The role performs back-office functions and supports providers in interviewing, examining, and treating patients. Medical Assistants measure vital signs, document patient care in the NextGen electronic health record, and coordinate care with other healthcare team members. The role works Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no nights or holidays. The stated pay range is likely $17.50–$21.00, based on experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus may be available to eligible candidates. Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
- Willingness to give high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
Nice To Haves
- Formal training, likely demonstrated by graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CPR certification.
- PC/Windows proficiency.
- Familiarity with medical coding.
Responsibilities
- Perform back-office functions.
- Assist the provider in interviewing, examining, and treating patients.
- Measure patients’ vital signs, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Accurately and efficiently document patient care in the electronic health record (NextGen).
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team.
- Project a positive office image in interactions with patients and coworkers, including greeting patients enthusiastically and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude.
