About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time, bilingual Medical Assistant for its Tampa–N Dale Mabry Hwy location. The Medical Assistant supports patient care by greeting and triaging patients, preparing examination and procedure rooms, collecting patient histories and vital signs, and measuring height and weight. The role also assists physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments, and may include administrative work such as scheduling appointments and procedures and managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The position requires English/Spanish bilingual ability and at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant. Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and triage them upon arrival.
Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
Obtain patients’ medical histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results as needed.
Help provide focused, empathetic, and calming patient care.
