About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time, bilingual English/Spanish Medical Assistant at its Tampa–N Dale Mabry Hwy location. The Medical Assistant supports patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting by welcoming and triaging patients, preparing them for physician visits, assisting with examinations and procedures, and completing front desk and administrative tasks. The role offers regular weekday hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and a starting salary of $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience. MaxHealth is a Florida primary care platform founded in 2015. It serves adults and senior patients through owned clinics and affiliated practices and employs a multidisciplinary team. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
Computer literacy and proficiency, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
Ability to remain on one's feet for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and triage them upon arrival.
Prepare examination and procedure rooms and prepare patients to see the physician.
Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, test results, and other necessary documents.
Help provide focused, empathetic patient care and maintain a calming presence for patients.
