Medical Assistant - Tampa-Bilingual
About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring a full-time, bilingual Medical Assistant for its Tampa clinic on E Fletcher Ave. The role supports patient care by greeting and triaging patients, preparing them for physician visits, assisting with exams and procedures, and completing related administrative and front-desk tasks. The position offers a starting salary of $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, and a $500 sign-on bonus paid after the first 30 days. Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to remain on one's feet for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
- Computer proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and triage them upon arrival.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms and patients for physician visits.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
- Manage related documents, including pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
- Maintain a calming and empathetic presence while providing patient care.
