About The Position

The Medical Assistant is responsible for skilled delivery of patient care and procedures. Duties include administering medication, supporting immunizations and point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, triaging patients, and providing direct patient care. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment, and efficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). Additional clinical tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Experience with phlebotomy.

Nice To Haves

• RMA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and perform procedures.
