About The Position
Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for its St. Luke's Neurology Clinic in the Greater Kansas City area. The role is an integral part of the clinic team and supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered medical care. Candidates without applicable experience will receive 10 weeks of on-the-job training. Once trained, the Medical Assistant assists providers with the evaluation, management, and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice.
Requirements
- Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow and provide excellent customer service to create a positive patient experience.
- Establish rapport with patients and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Conduct pre-visit plans, room patients, and obtain vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Administer injections and coordinate vaccines.
- Assist providers with procedures.
- Use the EMR system and scan or download documents.
- Conduct telephone screening according to protocols.
- Cover front-office responsibilities as needed.
