About The Position

CareATC is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Medical Assistant to support clinical and operational functions in a Health Center. The role assists providers with patient care, performs clinical and administrative duties, and helps create a seamless experience from check-in through follow-up. Medical Assistants work in a collaborative clinic setting focused on relationship-based care, quality outcomes, and patient service rather than patient volume.

The schedule is Monday and Wednesday, 5:30 a.m.–4 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m., for 40 hours per week. The position has no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. CareATC describes the role as full-time with benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS Certification.
• One of the following: completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma or certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience; at least 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience gained through on-the-job training; or relevant military medic experience.
• Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinical environment.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience.
• Measure and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical information.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples.
• Support front-office and administrative clinic functions as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows.
• Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care.
• Exercise sound clinical judgment within the scope of the role.
