About The Position

The Urology Medical Assistant supports an outpatient clinic providing general urology care in Seattle, Washington, and floats to the Ravenna clinic on Mondays. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, and the candidate must be willing and able to join the clinic permanently if offered the opportunity. Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is preferred; Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) candidates may be considered if they have applicable experience in a procedure-heavy clinic. MA-P and MA-HT candidates will not be considered.

The schedule is four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. Four days are scheduled from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the half day is 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and alternates according to the physician’s operating-room day. Candidates must have reliable personal transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions. Scrubs are provided, and charting is done in EPIC; EPIC experience is preferred.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult or pediatric outpatient clinic setting.
• MA-C certification is preferred; MA-R candidates may be considered with applicable procedural-clinic experience.
• Must be willing and able to accept permanent employment with the clinic if offered after the contract.
• Reliable personal transportation is required; public transportation is not acceptable.
• Must have no additional scheduling restrictions.
• MA-P and MA-HT candidates are not eligible.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a procedure-heavy clinic, such as Urology, Otolaryngology, or Dermatology.
• Experience with EPIC charting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and record medical history, medications, and allergies.
• Set up and assist with cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and bladder scans (PVRs).
• Set up and maintain a sterile field.
• Label specimens.
• Room patients.
• Float to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays.
