About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral member of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team and works under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The role requires performing safe clinical skills within the MA-C’s scope of practice. The MA-C has ongoing contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients, and their families or caregivers.

The position is full-time (1.0 FTE), on the day shift, Monday through Friday. It includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 24-month commitment.

Requirements

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one year of experience is required for the sign-on bonus; the posting lists one year of healthcare-setting experience as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in collaboration with front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Collect specimens, including through venipuncture.
• Administer medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency.
• Relay instructions and information to patients and their families or caregivers.
• Send and receive patient medical records.
• Facilitate patient referrals.
• Prepare forms for patients.
