About The Position

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed in support of patient care for assigned patients. The role performs all aspects of the MA I position and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions of the assigned clinic or work location. The MA II is expected to follow established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is with Swedish Health Services DBA Swedish Medical Group, part of Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following medical assistant preparation pathways: graduate from an accredited school that includes hands-on clinical training; graduate from a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; complete two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or have at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Six months of healthcare experience.
• Six months of medical assistant experience.
