About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical and administrative support to physicians, nurse practitioners, and other licensed healthcare professionals in the Rural Health Clinic (RHC). The Medical Assistant supports patient flow, obtains and documents vital signs and patient information, assists with examinations and procedures, performs approved laboratory and diagnostic testing, manages patient records and referrals, supports preventive care and quality initiatives, and maintains a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment.
Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant education/training program preferred
- Clinical experience in a physician practice or ambulatory care setting preferred
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or another electronic health record preferred
