About The Position

Provides the highest quality of customer service for patients and others by performing all duties in a professional and engaging manner. Provides quality care to patients under the direction of licensed practitioners, promotes efficient operation of the clinic, and assists physicians and support staff. This is a part-time position in the Dermatology Clinics, scheduled for 20 hours per week on varied weekdays, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA)-endorsed program; this requirement applies to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.
• If required to administer medications, have a current Medication Aid Registry listing or complete it within the first 30 days of hire or transfer, and maintain it thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a physician's office.
• Experience in a related area.
• Ability to speak English and Spanish for work in certain clinics.
• Medical assistant certification.
• Medical Scribe experience.
