About The Position
A ProMedica Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient-centric care delivery model in an office setting. The role communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes that improve patient care. The Medical Assistant supports a safe patient experience, gathers patient information, documents the reasons for visits, obtains vital signs, and strives for clinical excellence. The role also communicates with patients, peers, and the broader health care team, answers patient phone calls, and relays messages for providers or nurses. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- BLS (CPR) certification: present a current BLS course card from the AHA at the time of employment or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a medical office.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
